How is My Life Working as Virtual Assistant

I started working as a VA after getting a training from a BPO company called Filipino-Canadian. My life as a virtual assistant is not that easy as all may think though I admit it has perks also. For more than three weeks, I was trained there as a telemarketer, online researcher and some data entry.  And then I found this site called oDesk, it was March 15, 2008 Sunday night. You can actually read my past post about how I found my first job in oDesk here.

At present time, it has been seven years from the time I had my first online job. Working as a virtual assistant before and right now has a big difference due to the increasing numbers of people who wants to work online. Before, you can actually ask for a higher hourly rate from clients but as of now, you need to lower your rate so to compete with the rates that other virtual assistants are offering.

Working online has been easy for me since I easily get clients with my skills and experiences. Most of the time, my target job postings are long-term durations since I aim to work full time. And since I am quite choosy with the type of job that I want, therefore I am looking for one that can be done any time of the day with a lot of number of hours limit each week  and most specifically has a good pay.

Most of my projects are lead generation, online research, social media management, data entry, some article writing and blogging, and a little of video editing. Some of these skills were acquired from my previous projects also. Some clients were eager to help me and gave me the opportunity to learn new skills.

As a mother, this type of job is essential to me since I can work from the comforts of my home. I can take care of the household chores and most especially take care of my family’s needs.  I can bring my work anywhere too as long as I have an internet connection and my laptop. The downside is you have to work graveyard since most of the clients are in different time zone

What Can You Say About This Article???

This article was written by Jim Solouki, surely he doesn’t know anything about GOD.

Greetings True Christians!!

Did you know that God is punishing the Philippines for their tolerance of homosexuality, prostitution, Catholicism, and other sins? The Philippines are about to feel God’s wrath in the powerful form of a cyclone so great that the world has never experienced one of this intensity. If those of you in the Philippines had repented, you would not need to be punished. But you tolerate prostitution, homosexuality, and adultery, and God will make an example of you.

God’s hand at work

Pay heed to this coming disaster, True Christians. God can and will punish the wicked. After all, he killed everyone on Earth besides Noah and his family with the Flood. God detests wickedness and hates sin. God will, when He feels like it, bring about the death of sinners by His hand to quickly toss them into Hell. God hates the wicked, and the wicked will die by His hand so that they may be punished eternally in Hell.

the wrath of God is at hand.

The True Faithful in the Philippines will survive this trial. However, sinners will continue to perish unabatedly by God’s hand through this super-typhoon named Haiyan. God has killed at least 1200 heathens with Haiyan, and there may be more to come! Join with me, my brothers and sisters in Christ, to pray that God’s plan of retribution against the heathens and sinners will be complete. God will bring complete devastation upon the Philippines, and they will be wiped clean.

 a sinner unsaved

Do not cry to God for mercy now, you sinful heathens. You have already rejected Him, and now that you face impending punishment, there is nothing that you can do. God will not help you now. God hates the Philippines, as is clear by the impending cyclone. Repent, sinners, or you may be next on God’s hit list!

I will be praying for you.

Yours in Christ,

Jim Solouki”

Let’s Help “Typhoon Haiyan: Super typhoon Yolanda” Victims in The Philippines

It’s so heartbreaking to hear sad stories of some Yolanda victims, how they were being separated from their wives, children, parents and relatives only to find out after, that some of their family members didn’t manage to survive.
One Husband cried for forgiveness to her wife’s family for not being able to save his wife and kids…oh it broke my heart into pieces while watching that news. People are screaming for foods, water, and shelter. Still, some remote areas are not accessible, think about the situation they are in right now. I can’t stop my tears from falling while watching the news from different TV networks. Below is a photo from Manila Bulletin, a woman’s body is found floating in a flooded street, also in Tacloban. (Linus Escandor II).

The partial and unofficial death count as of the present arises to 1700 from the Supertyphoon Haiyan aka Super typhoon Yolanda which ruined entire villages, cities in the Philippines particularly TACLOBAN CITY which is most devastated by the supertyphoon. Pag-Asa officials warned the people about Yolanda-possibly could be the nation’s most detrimental recorded natural catastrophe.

I can’t imagine the emotions, the feelings of the families left by the victims of Yolanda. It is with much importance for them to know the whereabout and find their missing loved ones, so I gathered these links to Yolanda missing persons inquiries:

To our generous brothers and sisters abroad, we could use some donations to from your kind heart to help the victims, the following are the links to sites and foundations accepting donations:

Aside from cash donations, you can also send goods. The following are much needed by the victims:

Justice for Biggel!

Justice for Biggel!

I did not expect this though I read a lot of comments from facebook that there were incidents that Tin Patrimonio’s vote were credited to Pamu thus making Tin the second to the last evicted housemate. I’ve been searching for evidence such as photos to prove the hearsay not until this photo surfaced the netosphere. Tsk tsk PBB staffs and officials should take action on this matter if this is really true. If not for SLATER’s votes that has been credited to PAMU, Biggel should have been the first placer.

See You Soon Ian Somerhalder AKA “Damon Salvatore”

Philippines Amidst Calamity

Hey guys, we all know our country Philippines was so much devastated by Bagyong Ondoy (Tropical Storm Ketsana) which took place last Saturday, September 26, 2009. The storm which all people thought as just another ordinary one turned out to be massive and deadly. Clearly most of the victims were unprepared for its coming. Water level reached up to two storeys high.
I was so blessed to live in a place where we don’t experience the same calamities that other places in the Philippines does. As of the latest toll there were 240 people who died, many more were still missing while nearly 380,000 people have sought shelter in relief centers. Watching the news on the television broke my heart knowing that so many children in their young lives have unfortunately gone through this kind of horror.
Amidst this catastrophe, we as Filipinos proved that we really have the heart to give and offer help to our Kababayans in any we can. It’s just so sad to know that private sectors seem to be more responsive in giving the victims relief assistance than our government itself. There are some people who even took advantage of this despicable situation. Bagyong Ondoy showed us that a calamity doesn’t choose to affect common people only but even the affluent ones.
God bless those people who have done heroic acts to save lives of other people despite the danger they were facing and knowing the possibilities that doing such thing may also cause their end. Those people who died during rescue operations must be given honor for their bravery. In times like this, true friends are there to help us.
What could have been done to eliminate so much damage on the affected Greater Manila areas? Is this a sign of “Global Warming”? Another Storm (Tropical Storm Parma) was said to hit the Philippines about 800 miles (1,280 kilometers) southeast of the Philippines late Tuesday. Let be Bagyong Ondoy be a thing of the past and let it not happen again. Let’s all pray for the safety of our family, our friends and all our people.
