We’ve been invited by a close friend from Kabacan to her birthday celebration in Lake Agco, it was just a family get together with some of her closest friends and I strongly believe that I am one of them haha. We woke up early around 4am and started our journey to one of the best nature has to offer!Located at Barangay Ilomavis, Kidapawan City, Lake Agco is at the foot of Philippine’s highest mountain Mt. Apo and is approximately 2.5 hours away from Davao City and about 45 minutes from Kidapawan City via multicab. The road is very stiff and honestly got a little scared that the engine will shut off, unluckily breaks won’t work and we’ll all go rolling down hahaha! What a creepy imagination but I did pray a lot lol. Like most of my previous travels, I did enjoy the sceneries along the way!
Arriving at Lake Agco, stalls of souvenirs parade outside the resorts. Mahomanoy Mountain Resort has hot and cold swimming pools both for adults and children. We enjoyed our jacuzzi experience at Lake Agco Jacuzzi Antapan Mountain Resort and climbed up and down going to the small falls which is the most tiring part of the adventure. We also witnessed and smelled the sulfur coming out of Lake Agco, there are tiny geysers and springs around the lake too. You can grab some mud and put in your face and body, they say it’s good for your skin. It was such a nice experience with mother nature, what an adventure!
