Water rafting is one of my dream adventures, it was really an extreme experience!. When my niece Bea from Japan told me she’ll bring her Japanese friends with her and asked me what outdoor activities are available in Davao City that they could try, water rafting immediately comes to mind. Since my husband’s close friend and college classmate work in Crocodile Park, we are able to get a discount for our tickets.
Since it was raining that night, the amount of water in Davao River was pretty high which is indeed perfect for water rafting according to our guide. The 15 kilometer water rafting thrill and excitement lasted for about 4 hours starting from Tamugan, Calinan going to the lowlands. We did have to stop for a lunch break in between our course then paddle again. At first I am very nervous and reluctant to dip my feet on the cold water of Davao River but eventually conquered my fear.
Where there are rapids, there’s the fun and thrill! Every time we successfully pass the rapids we then shout Kanpai meaning High five! The experience is unexplainable, I wanted to do it again but it’s quite expensive. Our tickets are inclusive of packed lunch, transportation from Crocodile Park going to the area and then back to Crocodile Park, a choice of “Zipline or Maxima Aquafun” and Butterfly Farm, a souvenir t-shirt for each of us and photos.
We are all set and ready to begin the experience of a lifetime!
Now the real fun and thrill starts here!
